Dog Sledding on Mercantour
From the Coast, count about 1h15m drive through the beautiful Roya Valley to get to our
starting point at 1550m of altitude, just at the entrance of the National Park of
Mercantour. The day starts with the introduction to the 11 dogs of race Husky,
Greenlander and Malamute, followed by a training with the equipment and a
presentation of the security and conservation rules in the Park (30mins). You will then
learn how to drive your sled on the practice ring with 3 or 4 dogs.
Once comfortable with the sled, you will then leave for a 2h30m trip in the spectacular
National Park of Mercantour. Our guide is a professional Musher who lives here all year
long. He will make you discover the exceptional relationship with the dogs and will show
you amazing and preserved landscapes.
Back to the village at 1pm, you will then have a traditional lunch at the chalet before we
drive you back to your home by 5pm.
A truly incredible way to discover the National Park of Merantour, voted on the 10 most beautiful Parks of the World by Lonely Planet.
